We are a global youth network for diplomacy and civic skill. We bring the practice of diplomacy to young people who rarely get the chance to learn it, starting with students in remote and under-resourced places and open to anyone, anywhere. Model UN is one of the doors we open, not the whole house.
The Nordic Diplomacy Initiative is the lasting home behind our programmes, and a growing network of young people who learn diplomacy by doing it. We run Model UN, workshops, policy simulations, and youth diplomacy programmes, and we carry the people, the standards, and the archive forward from one year to the next.
Wherever a young person joins us from, they join the same network and the same values. Guided by the North means the Nordic values we run on: neutral, fair, calm, and open to anyone willing to learn. We are not aligned with any bloc or agenda, and we teach that kind of diplomacy by practising it.
Most of our delegates are not future Model UN champions. They are young people touching diplomacy for the first time. We keep the archive, the names, and the standards, so the ones who return years later find the same values waiting.
We take no side but the table's. Trained chairs, real research, honest feedback, and rules applied evenly to everyone.
We reach the students the bigger rooms miss, in remote and under-resourced places, and we keep the barrier low without ever lowering the bar.
Not a mailing list, a community. Every edition adds to an archive and an alumni base. Our measure of success is who comes back.
